Interested in photography? Did you know that a group of photographers have formed a photo club here in Treyburn? The club is very informal - no dues, no structure, not even a name - just an interest in increasing knowledge about photography. If you have zero photography experience the club is probably not for you. But if you have any experience and an interest in learning. We might be work attending a meeting. The next meeting of the Treyburn Photo club is Wednesday, June 16, beginning at 7:00 p.m. All participants need to bring their cameras to this session. We have invited local Durham professional photographer Paul Winger to our meeting. Paul is local professional photographer and President elect of the Professional Photographers of North Carolina. Paul's website is www.pwphoto.com. Paul is going to lead a short discussion on improving your image quality and then we are going to go outside the club and take some pictures. Following our mini outing, we will each select our favorite photo and Paul will lead a discussion on the image selected. I think you will enjoy this. This session will be relevant to all - no matter your experience. Anyone interested in attending or wanting more information about the meeting or the club, please contact Rick Fisher at 599-5585 (rickfisher04@yahoo.com).
Treyburn Walking Clubnd goal of participating in the "Start Walk" for the American Heart Association this September? A community walking group could be a great way to meet other Treyburn friends, improve our own heart health, and help others. The ordinance also requires that new irrigation systems be equipped with properly
operating rain or soil moisture sensors in appropriate locations to prevent irrigation
during rain events or when there is sufficient moisture in the ground for plant health
and survival. Existing automated irrigation systems must be retrofitted with
moisture or rain sensors by November 30, 2009.
The City has also adopted requirements to eliminate water waste. These rules
prohibit excessive run-off as a result of irrigation, incorrectly positioned sprayheads,
and allowing leaks to go unrepaired. Durham customers can help to conserve the existing supply and help ensure that wise water use becomes a part of
everyday life by following the provisions of the ordinance. If you are interested in announcing an event please email
