ALERT Posted March 16, 2009 On Monday, 3/9/2009, around Noon, a suspicious vehicle parked on Grandwood Cr. (Greenview Townhomes) was reported to the police. The occupants of the vehicle were observed by a resident leaving on foot into the neighborhood. The police were called and they came and checked out the car, a silver/blue Honda with an expired, temporary tag. They could not locate the car's occupants. Later the same day, a home in the same area, on Fairwoods Dr. was broken into through a basement window. The locked door at the top of the stairs deterred the intruders from entering the home further. The homeowner was not at home at the time, no alarm system (yet), dog was on the deck. It was reported by neighbors later that the same suspect vehicle had been seen in the driveway of that home for a brief time and the same vehicle occupants were also observed in the area by other neighbors. Police responded to all reports but were unable to catch the vehicle or its occupants. Police are following up and also notifying the Durham County Sheriff's Office. Please be on the lookout for this vehicle and call the police at 560-4582 if you have any information regarding these incidents. From your Neighborhood Watch Co-Chairs,
